Be mindful that dogs, cats and other species can suffer from sensory overload, just like us!
To make this a safe and joyful experience, be an ambassador for your pet, keeping them calm and cool. Please follow the guidelines. If you need assistance, ask one of the PWF volunteers.

PWF, rhymes with SNIFF, is a fund-raiser for New England Pet Partners, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3), enhancing well-being and education with pet assisted therapy.

It is a way to give back to our pets and volunteers with wellness products and services ... to learn more

The Pet Wellness Festival was founded in 2004 by the late Cindy Fischer, M.Ed. and Maureen Ross, MA, in collaboration with a heart centered blend of practitioners, pet enthusiasts, pet therapy teams and volunteers - whose passion is to make a difference for pet wellness and education. Imagine never being able to see, touch or feel your pet again? We can't either. Sharing your pet in a careful, safe way is one way to make a huge difference.

PWF (rhymes with sniff) is a WELLNESS PAWTY for you and your pet, bringing people and pets together to raise awareness about well-being, education, healthy nutrition, products and services in a supportive and friendly environment.

Meet authors, registered pet partners and Reading Education Assistance Dog teams.

PWF is an outstanding networking event and small enough to make meaningful connections.
Relationships begin that can last a last time.

Please read the Guidelines before coming to PWF

You must present a wellness certificate to the registrar, including latest Rabier's Vaccine (Tag is Fine).

  1. No flexi-leads are allowed for obvious reasons. Several safe areas are fenced to exercise / walk your dog (on leash).
  2. Cats should be held or in a comfortable carrier to minimize stress.
  3. Miniature horses should remain outdoors, unless otherwise directed by a PWF volunteer.
  4. See a PWF volunteer for guidance or if you have special circumstances. We are happy to assist.

Breathing in deeply nose-to-navel ... ah-ha

In 2014, New England Pet Partners Inc. provided team training and team evaluations, including a Practicum at Tufts Cummings School of Vet Medicine, to help create registered pet therapy teams and licensed team evaluators. NEPP provided scholarship funding to three teams who are now registered. Ongoing events, coaching and pet therapy visits are provided by dedicated volunteers who are making a difference by sharing their pets. Please contact them directly at New England Pet Partners, Find a Team. Be mindful that free-visits are provided by volunteer teams. Health Care Professionals reserve the right to charge a fee when providing Pet Assisted "Therapy" that requires documentation  and goal-directed treatment planning.
